First class after sales service
Total Hygiene is Europe's leading supplier of automatic shower toilets, with some 40,000 units now installed since the company?s foundation 40 years ago. The company is unique in having not only its own team of sales managers strategically located across the UK and in Ireland, supported by a network of distributors, but in having in-house a team of service engineers to carry out annual maintenance and rectify any technical problems that may occur.
It also has a mobile demonstration unit, enabling clients to see the range of equipment at first hand, even at their own home, to fully understand how it operates and its implications for their wellbeing. Full details are available on www.clos-o-mat.com, or by telephoning 0161 969 1199 or

The Clos-o-Mat Palma Vita is the first shower toilet/automatic WC developed SPECIFICALLY to help restore dignity and independence to the less able, by UK market leader Total Hygiene.
The Clos-o-Mat Palma looks like a conventional WC but combines integral douching and drying facilities. This minimises, or even eliminates, the need for carer assistance when toileting, as there is no need to wipe clean, as the toilet washes and dries.
Unique simultaneous flushing and washing improves hygiene as the user is cleaned by warm water, not paper, and increases independence as manual cleansing is eliminated. One simple press of the flush pad (by hand, elbow or body pressure) or the remote control hand switch can trigger the flushing, washing and drying process, without the handle having to remain depressed, making it easily useable by all, regardless of manual dexterity. If necessary, an additional push on the flush pad at any time can repeat the drying cycle. The functions can be stopped at any time simply by standing up.
Water for douching is heated as required, saving energy, and is controlled to body temperature with a 'fail safe' cut-out. The douching process effectively cleanses and the dryer provides a gentle flow of warm air for up to 3 minutes.
The douche arm retracts and self-cleans using the clean water supply to the Palma. It uses no chemicals, and therefore continues to sanitise the douche throughout the life of the unit, not just until the disinfectant reservoir empties.
Total Hygiene has worked closely with award-winning commercial design house Goodwin Design to produce a range of optional extras that enable customisation of the Palma to individual requirements and complement the unit?s modern styling, including integrated fold down support arms, lateral body supports, a range of four plinths shaped to match the Palma?s WC pan to enable the unit to be set at appropriate height for the user, to aid wheelchair transfer, a remote control or air operated hand or foot switch, a selection of seat options complemented by one specifically designed for children and three douche options. The latest addition is blue, soft background illumination to the on/off switch, conveniently sited on the top right side of the unit for ease of access and operation by the user, whilst clearly but unobtrusively showing them whether the unit is on or off.
The Clos-o-Mat Palma is WRAS approved, enabling it to be connected to the UK water supply: the only complete, automatic shower toilet that has this certification. Further, it is purpose-designed to be safe to include in any bathroom or wetroom environment, being approved, provided it is fitted with an RCD, for installation in Zone 1 ie adjacent to a bath or shower: again, it is the only appliance of its kind which is suitable for fitting in that location.
Aerolet toilet lifters
The Aerolet range of toilet lifts encompasses 11 main units, with three control options and a further six accessories, enabling customizing of a lift to personal specification that meets as far as possible the individual?s needs. The units replicate the natural motion of standing up and sitting down, gently raising and lowering the user to position them accurately over the toilet as required whilst enabling their feet to remain in contact with the floor and maintaining the centre of gravity above the feet for balance. After toileting, the lift can be raised by degrees to ease access for cleansing. Each Lift can be adjusted to individual leg length and degree of body stability, to as low as 39.5cm (15 ½?), yet can accommodate weights up to 180kg (28 stone).
The Aerolet Tilt is primarily designed for people with balance issues, enabling them to simply lean against the seat and hold the integral arm supports to operate the unit, whilst the Aerolet Vertical is more appropriate for those with limited or no flexion in the hips and knees.
Additional variations include the Standard (ST) which will fit most bathrooms and higher or hanging toilet bowls, the Small (SM) for smaller bathrooms, the Mobile (MO) which can be moved from one bathroom or WC to another making it ideal for hospitals nursing and care homes and leisure resorts, the Automatic which adjusts to differing leg lengths, and the Non Contact. All are rated to support up to 180kg (28 stone), but a bespoke bariatric version gives a maximum lift capacity of 330kg
Whilst powered as standard by conventional 230v electrical supply, the Aerolet range can be supplied with a battery powered option where a suitable power point isn't available.
